The Position
Eaglebrook School (the “School”) invites applications for the Senior Accountant position (the “Position,”) specializing in, but not limited to, Accounts Receivable and Payable. The school is looking for a talented, flexible, team player who will thrive in an ever-changing environment. The position is a full-time, year-round position.
Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the integrity of accounting and student account records by recording, verifying, and reconciling student account transactions between FACTS student billing software and Blackbaud accounting software. This includes charging tuition and fees and maintaining reports and other support.
- Coach families through enrollment process including FACTS onboarding and payment process.
- Work closely with the Admissions Department as students are accepted, enrolled and re-enrolled.
- Maintain general ledger by reconciling tuition related accounts to trial balance and reconciling entries.
- Route invoices to proper approvers and review for correct general ledger coding through Paymerang software.
- Trouble shoot payment issues with vendors and Paymerang Support.
- Coordinate workers compensation audit and 1099 production.
- Serve as a backup for payroll production including initiating computer processing, verifying finished product, and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Serve as a backup for managing employee leave including PFMLA and Worker’s Compensation.
- Protect School and family information with utmost discretion and professionalism.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience administering benefits including PFMLA and Worker’s Compensation preferred.
- Experience with payroll preferred.
- Experience with FACTS, Paymerang, Blackbaud preferred.
